I am a member of Tanilba Bay/Lemon Tree Passage CWA - our branch is supporting the Australian Outback Baby Project by knitting and crocheting clothing, blankets, etc to donate. We also donate left over yarn and other baby items to assist this project.

Thank you very, very much for your very generous donation of dog coats, blankets and toys to Dog Rescue Newcaslte
The homemade coats and blankets are just beautiful and you can tell they were all made with lots of love, not to mention a great deal of skill! Our rescue dogs will love them. Your knitters and crocheters, are a very caring and unselfish group and we are very grateful that you have chosen to support us again.
We are holding a garage sale on the 2nd of April and I invite any members who may live in Newcastle or the Hunter Valley to come and grab a bargain. Details will be on our website soon. Thanks!!!

Oh dear -- a long time since anyone posted here! I was wondering if anyone had any hints for joining the Yahoo group -- I am trying to sign in through Facebook. At one point it told me my birthdate was wrong. And it doesn't seem to recognise the profile name I think I set up.

Thanks Claire, there is just so much need out there, the more knitters we have the better we can help others.
Happy knitting, Pam

If you possibly can please join our Yahoo group. Addresses etc. are given out to members on the 25th of each month so items knitted that month can be posted. If you could email me at knit4charities.gmail.com I can explain things more fully.

Hi Pam - saw you in one of the craft mags I borrowed from my library and thought what a great idea!! I will be snail mailing you for 2 books - one for a friend as well - and I am wondering if you have any groups of knitters in the panania , nsw area?? I enjoy a range of crafts - quilts, scrapbooking, cross st., but when the cooler weather comes its knitting - I am not a fast knitter, as I always have one or 2 projects on the go at the same time, but would like to help out - I don't fully understand the calendar - with the dates? is that when you need to have things finished by? and where do I send them? or direct?? I prefer to do locally if possible - ie. missionbeat - exodus -
Is wool okay or does it need to be acrylic?? or doesn't it matter?
sorry, many questions and I haven't joined yet - not much of a joiner really, but i may get there ....
hope to hear from you
